DELAYED 8 HOURS: we planned to work 50 hours, worked 62 hours, and DID’NT finished all the planned tasks. We estimate that we need more 8 hours to finish all the tasks for THIS deliverable. We didn’t finished future tasks.
For the mechanical design part, the external water reservoir was developed along with the vase.
The plant pot will have dimensions of 20 cm x 20 cm x 20 cm for better accommodation of the radish, as this plant can grow up to 15 cm.
Thus, the structure of the water container was designed to be 30 cm x 30 cm x 6 cm. This size was chosen based on research aimed at providing the ideal irrigation (2.5 cm of water) for a radish over the course of one week.
Additionally, some parts of the mechanical design were redesigned, such as the wooden beam, as it was found that it would be very difficult to find a beam as originally planned. Therefore, a rectangular beam made more sense.
For the mold that will support the glass, an L-shaped bracket was designed.
The design of the cooler hole was also modified to assist with construction, as a square structure would be easier to cut using a jigsaw.
